Our Story
Built By People Who Actually Drink Coffee
We started Ember because the best home espresso machines were either flimsy or absurdly overpriced—so we built the middle ground.
From a Broken Steam Wand to a Better Standard
Ember started with a dead steam wand. My first "great" espresso machine lasted fourteen months before the pump seized, and the warranty card turned out to be worthless—I'd bought it through a reseller with no real ties to the manufacturer. Getting a straight answer took three weeks and two ignored emails.
That sent me down a rabbit hole of comparing every mid-range and high-end machine I could get my hands on, and I found a gap: boutique shops charged a premium for machines you could buy elsewhere for less, while big-box stores sold whatever moved fastest off the pallet. Nobody was testing daily use, pricing warranties honestly, or picking up the phone. So we built Ember around three things: only authorized inventory with warranties that actually hold up, machines we've personally run for months before listing them, and a small team of technicians who answer their own support line.
We're still a small company, and every model in our lineup has been pulled, steamed, and descaled by someone on our team before it reaches your counter. That part hasn't changed, and it's not going to.

How We Started
Real Warranty
Every machine is authorized inventory, registered directly with the manufacturer so your coverage is never in question.
Barista-Tested
We pull shots on every model for weeks before it ships, so you're never the first person to find a flaw.
Fast, Insured Shipping
Most machines leave the warehouse within a day and arrive fully insured, so a damaged box is never your problem.
Technicians, Not Scripts
Call or email and reach someone who actually repairs these machines, not a script read from a manual.
